2nd Annual Photo Day- Saturday May 18, 2019

  1. 8 AM to 10 AM – Fanshawe Conservation Area,  1424 Clark Rd. London, ON– – vehicle day pass – $14.00.  Registration near the Dam.  Photography includes Fanshawe Lake, Fanshawe Dam and several nature trails. (Note: $5.00 will be collected at the Registration Desk for the admission to the Royal Canadian Regiment Museum visit in the afternoon.  Other Entry fees are paid by you directly at the entrances.)
  1. 10 AM to 1:30 PM– Fanshawe Pioneer Village , 1424 Clark Road.  General Adult admission is $7.00.

Fanshawe Pioneer Village will be marking a special milestone in 2019 – their 60th anniversary.  This is a great opportunity to meet the Villagers, explore, and discover our rural roots during Opening Weekend.   Photo opportunities include the historic buildings and their contents and special Victoria Day activities.

Lunch within the Village will be at 11:30 AM at the “The Big Red Barn”.  There is a small café which serves soup and sandwiches.  You may wish to bring your own lunch as there may be a large crowd because this is Opening Day with special events for Victoria Day celebrations.  A group photo will be taken at this time in front of “The Big Red Barn”.

  1. 2 PM to 4 PM –  The Royal Canadian Regiment Museum – 701 Oxford St. East, (in Wolseley Barracks.)  Note: There is a $5.00 admission fee for each attendee which will be paid at the Registration Desk upon registering in the morning.  You may use flash and tripod in the museum.  Note- the museum closes at 4 PM.
  1. 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM –  Dinner at Boston Pizza, 3090 Wonderland Road South – The cuisine is Canadian, Italian, Pizza, Pub-   There is parking and is wheelchair accessible.  This location is close to Hwy 401 and Hwy 402.


Other Outings

Another 2019 outing is being planned, this one in the fall.  More information to follow.  

In the past several months, two outings were held.  There was great participation and fine weather for both events.

Point Pelee Outing, held Wednesday, 9 May 2018

This outing was coordinated with the Windsor Camera Club.



Sarnia Outing, held 21 October 2017

The first outing was Cantara Park in Sarnia on 21 October 2017.  Most of the organization for the successful outing was done by the SWOPA member club – Sarnia Photographic Club.K1__4618ce
